GIS
I have a working knowledge and technical skill of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. My spatial analysis, cartography, and design skills are demonstrated through my Fall 2020 Sediment research and ArcGIS Online story maps.

Data Analysis and Visualization
I have demonstrated my data analysis and visualization skill through ALLARM Data Interpretation workshops and my Spring 2021 Macroinvertebrate Research. My Spring 2021 research project’s focus was to fill a research gap in the spatial and temporal understanding of the Mountain Creek’s macroinvertebrate population. I synthesized data from student-derived and Environmental Protect Agency collected sources into an ArcGIS StoryMap.

Communication
My work with ALLARM has taught me how to communicate with a diverse audience. I have worked with volunteers of all ages in chemical, macroinvertebrate, or data interpretation workshops. I have helped facilitate meetings with community partners or stakeholders during Stormwater Steering Committee meetings.

I have also assisted in multiple local or regional presentations and conferences for ALLARM.

Finally, as a senior seminar final project, I had to create a video that analyzed perspectives learned in the course about the human place in nature in connection to a personal topic of interest.

Writing
I am a strong scientific and creative writer. I have written many scientific papers in academic courses or through independent research. In addition, I can present scientific topics creatively such as through fact sheets or blog posts.

I believe engaging and informative science communication is imperative for any discipline to bridge the gap between scientists and non-scientists. I believe it creates essential trust and understanding in science and scientists that is essential.
